If anyone has any ideas for this, I would love to hear them.  It has been almost 40 hrs. since I last slept, even then the last time I slept was not a good sleep.  Woke up about every 40 to 60 minutes.  I know I can't keep going like this, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.......

It is always recommended by most of the people that if you are finding some problem while sleeping then it is better for you to take warm glass of milk with honey and can do meditation which will be worth for you to get good sleep, it will be better if you think positive that is creating positive orra around you that will help you to overcome negativities and stress from your mind.

Thanks

Try and fit in an exercise or gym session before your usual sleeping time. Exercise is a great way to fight off insomnia.

i would love to know myself how to get some sleep. have not had a good nights sleep in a couple of years and it seems lately it has got worse. here is my nightly routine, i have to sleep in a recliner or try to, get in the recliner around 11 pm, can't seem to relax and get to sleep so i lay down on the couch, lay there about 1/2 hour , can't go to sleep nor can i relax, then i get up and go lay down in the spare bed and can't relax and go to sleep and then i get back up and get back in the recliner and finally around 3 to 4 am i am able to fall asleep but as soon as the sun starts coming up around 6:30 am i am wide awake again and am not able to get any sleep during the day. so i am able to get from two to three hpours of sleep a night and there have been some nights i do not sleep at all. have talked to my doctor about this but she will not give me any sleeping pills, does not seem to hear me when i talk to her about my sleep problems. thought about calling a sleep lab but if i can't sleep then that would be a waste of time. am finding i am not alone in this. also thought about looking for another doctor . in do have some medical problems which includes high blood pressure, and diabetes, don't know if they paly a part in the sleep problems or not.
